In 1965, the drummer wears one of his 
cymbals as a hat.

37 years later (2002) - look closely, he's still wearing  cymbals on his head.

Both the 50's & 60's Gene & The Team Beats, one and only practice, Thursday night at (Lonnie) "Woodall's Music Store" in Martinsville, VA.  Before  The Battle of the Bands Reunion on Friday May 3, 2002.
